So am I the only one who would keep it a secret if my fiancé is fake? Even if it's the time to tell it? I would just roll with it, if it's the fun Mr. Fake Fiancé like Oli! Just keep it your little dirty secret!
Man I instantly liked Oli he is just very likable even if he is very cocky.
I don't want to ruin anything, but this isn't entirely like you've read before.
This one made me laugh out loud and giggle like a school girl! Bertha and the condom is just hilarious! It's been a while that I've laughed as much as I did with this one!
Also the mother of Mindy isn't as bad as I thought and expected her to be, but I get what they meant with all of that.
Never knew that meeting Mr. Irresistible was this fun and crazy! I have read a few good number of fake engagement romances but I still can't get enough of the trope. While most NA romances get me hot and bothered with the male characters, this time, Oliver also got me laughing out loud, swooning with anticipation and blushing like the reddest rose in the world.
Mindy had been telling her family about her beloved boyfriend Harold for about a year already. Now that her mom was getting remarried, she insisted on meeting Mindy's fiancé. Easy peasy, right? Wrong! Because Harold the boyfriend didn't exist, but she didn't want to disappoint her family, so she took the matters in her hands and got her BFF Briana to help.
And Harold finally came to life in the form of Oliver Steele. Dashing, funny, gorgeous straight out of GQ magazine and most importantly, oozing with sex appeal. Her mom, grandma and sister would definitely like him, but would she? She didn't know zilch about him, he never followed her rules, and he made her squirm like a worm with his touch.
I enjoyed every bit of this story because the characters we're funny and alluring. I always love a good laugh with my books and Lauren Landish delivered. Although the story was quite steamy, it was full of scenes you never want to miss. Everyone was simply irresistible!
Oh WOW Lauren Landish has done it again, I absolutely adore her writing style she has such a way with words. Draws you in keeps you entertained throughout her books. This book Mr. Fiance is another of her fantastic works. Her first book in this group was Anaconda with Gavin and Brianna and Mindy who is Brianna's friend .
Mindy helped Gavin win the love of his life Brianna.
Mr. Fiance is about a fake finance for Mindy, the poor girl got herself into a huge bind when she told her family that she had a fiance, now it's been a year with the lie. Her mom is getting married and Mindy has to bring her fiance to the wedding and spend the week with her family. Oh no what is she going to do? She is so caring she doesn't want to hurt anyone , she wants to make everybody happy. So she talks to Brianna and Brianna tells Gavin what's going on. See Gavin and Brianna own the coffee where she works.
Gavin takes it upon himself to help her out. He sets up a poker game with his friends and then his single friend Oliver looses a bet a very huge bet, but Gavin is going to let it slide if Oliver will pretend to be Mindy's fake fiance for a week with her family.
Well we all know men an they balk at first, so did Oliver until he saw Mindy's picture. That changed his mind..
Brianna told Mindy her problems were solved that Gavin has a friend who is going to help her out of her bind.
Said Oliver was doing it as a favor he owed Gavin...
As soon as Mindy and Oliver met you could see the sparks fly they had a connection even though they both fought it at first. Mindy set the rules but Oliver had other ideas.
He told her he didn't follow rules.
Oliver pushed her buttons, kissing her in front of her family, touching her when she said none of that.
They both felt the pull and gave in. Damn the fireworks they started the sex was combustible. ...can you say firefighter please...bring the fire extinguisher...
Mercy all was good until mom got married and they all wanted Mindy and Oliver to marry the next day. As always Mindy didn't want to disappoint her family and agreed to the wedding. Second thoughts and more she was hurting, she knew the lie she told was escalating from a fiance to a wedding that neither one wanted.
Oliver couldn't believe what she done, he was pissed but he was hurt too. He has feelings for Mindy knows why she wants to do this but it's hard for him.
Needless to say the get ready for the wedding about to say their I do's when Mindy realizes she can't go through with it and runs out of the chapel.
She kicks Oliver out of the mansion and says words she knows hurts but can't seem to be able to control her mouth. She hates herself afterwards
She makes a full confession to her family and leaves goes back home to work and live her life in the humdrum coffee shop.
One day turns into two and so forth no word from Oliver but she wasn't really expecting one, she knows he hates her and she can't blame him after the way she talked to him.
Oliver back home gets to thinking and goes about his day to day life but misses Mindy even though she treated him like crap he still has feelings for her. Does he love her , he understands why she did but it hurts just the same. He wanted to help her smooth things over with her family but no the stubborn woman wouldn't let him.
After a few days he walks into the coffee Mindy hears his voice and falls in love all over again. Wondering what he is doing there.
Oh my I have probably told to much already but you have to one click this book to read the rest. It's a awesome read you won't be disappointed.
Can't wait for next book with (Roxy) Mindy's sister and Anthony (Tony) Oliver's brother ...just gonna say it's gotta be hot and sexy like all of Ms. Landish books are.
